DDLData Definition Language

DDL is used to create modify and delete the Objects in the database.

Some of the DDL Statements include CREATE, ALTER, TRUNCATE, DROP.

DDL Statements take effect immedietly. i.e. When a ddl statement is executed its results can be seen immedietly. Hence while executing the DDL Statements the users have to be cautious of the results of the operation.
